Janine Pardo Theatre Arts, formerly Surrey Academy of Musical Theatre, was established in 2014 and specialises in offering classes, after school clubs, Saturday theatre school and holiday camps in dance, drama, singing and musical theatre, LAMDA, for all ages and abilities, run by industry professionals. 

Classes are inspiring, fun, and encourage confidence, self esteem, imagination, communication, coordination and creativity, developing the skills and techniques needed in all areas of Performing Arts.

Janine Pardo is the owner/director of JPTA and is an experienced, working actress, dancer and singer trained in musical theatre with a Masters in Performance from the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She also specialises in teaching Performing Arts and has over 15 years' experience having taught for Redroofs Theatre School, Stagecoach, Showshack Theatre School, Footsteps School of Dance, Aldance, Laura Henderson Dance School, Hall Grove, Lord Wandsworth College, Edgeborough Preparatory School, BKD performers and currently at Coworth Flexlands School.

Many students have been in West End Productions like Oliver, Matilda, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, major films like Harry Potter and many been accepted to train in top drama and dance schools.
All teachers at Surrey Academy of Musical Theatre are highly trained and experienced industry professionals that use their passion of the performing arts to inspire children and teenagers of all ages.

Classes run per 10 week term and children work towards informal termly watch week lessons and a yearly variety show.
There is also the opportunity to take LAMDA exams in poetry, acting or musical theatre with 100% pass rate at Distinction and Merit level.

Miss Natalie Turner, Singing and Musical Theatre teacher

Natalie is a professional (and still working) actor. She has been in the industry for 7 years, with a CV spanning theatre, commercial television, feature film and even Disney. Alongside her own performing work, she's been passionately teaching the arts for over 10 years across the three main theatre disciplines, with a heavy focus on building children's confidence, skill and technique.
Natalie graduated from PPA in 2018 with a distinction in Professional Musical Theatre and holds graded qualifications in Tap, Ballet and Modern dance. She is child safeguarding qualified, paediatric first aid trained and hold an enhanced DBS.

Miss Katherine Hartshorne, Acting and Musical Theatre teacher

Katie trained as an actor and has a B.A. (Hons) in Acting, she has worked in theatre, film and voice acting. She has considerable experience teaching Acting, Musical Theatre and Singing to the required LAMDA syllabus. Her students have a pass rate at Distinction and Merit. Her students have auditioned for, and performed in, West End shows and T.V. Katie’s lessons are fun, empowering and challenging. She is committed to encouraging her students to take risks to reach their full potential. Katie recently retrained and now helps people suffering from anxiety. She is a lover of adventure and fun. When she's not teaching you can find her in the ocean, watching theatre and practicing Jiu-Jitsu.

Miss Kiera Marner, Musical Theatre, Dance & LAMDA teacher

Kiera first began full time training at Sylvia Young Theatre School, she then continued her training at Bird College of Musical Theatre and Dance, graduating in 2015. Alongside her teaching, Kiera is studying for her (DDE) Diploma in Dance Education (Tap and Modern-ISTD syllabus)
